Experience
After taking a leave of absence during my sophomore year, I completed a three-month internship at Shinil PNS in the international sales department. Shortly after, I joined Seoul Metro as a full-time station assistant, where I worked for 1 year and 9 months handling station operations, customer service, and daily reports. In addition, I have been volunteering at a nursing home for the past five years, providing assistance and support to elderly residents.

I worked as an intern in the International Sales Department at Shinil PNS, where I gained hands-on experience in international trade and global business operations.
My main tasks included communicating with overseas clients by email,
writing business reports and sales proposals in English, and assisting with export documentation such as invoices, packing lists, and shipping forms.
Through this experience, I learned how export procedures and logistics work in real business settings
.
I also conducted new buyer research and market analysis, helping the team understand product competitiveness and global market trends. Although everything felt new at first, the guidance and mentorship from my supervisor, Team Manager Jeongeun Moon, helped me grow steadily and build confidence in my abilities.

After completing my internship, I worked full-time at Seoul Metro for 21 months as a station operations staff member. During this time, I was responsible for station management, customer service, revenue reporting, and transit card sales.
My daily duties included assisting passengers at ticket gates and platforms, monitoring station facilities, managing lost and found items, and preparing end-of-day financial reports. I frequently assisted foreign passengers in English and Chinese, helping them navigate the subway system and purchase the correct travel cards.
Among my responsibilities, I achieved exceptional results in transit card sales. Through consistent communication and customer-focused service, I increased the station’s average monthly card sales by over 150% and became the top-performing staff member in the department. This accomplishment was the result of understanding each customer’s needs and offering personalized recommendations rather than focusing solely on sales volume.
Throughout my time at Seoul Metro, I developed strong skills in problem-solving, communication, and accountability.
Working in a high-pressure, fast-paced public service environment taught me the importance of empathy, accuracy, and maintaining professionalism in every interaction.
Since 2020, I have been volunteering at a nursing home, continuing my service over the past five years with dedication and responsibility.
I’ve taken part in various activities such as assisting with meals, recreational programs, and spending time talking with elderly residents to bring comfort and joy to their daily lives.
Over time, many of the seniors began to recognize me and greet me warmly, which has been one of the most rewarding parts of this experience.
